Maui Music Festival has plans to return to Kaanapali

KAANAPALI - It looks as if the Maui Music Festival will be returning to Kaanapali in May after a hiatus of several years.

The festival has been acquired by Pro Sports & Entertainment Inc., a California-based owner/operator of live entertainment, with plans to revitalize the event.

According to Paul Feller, president and CEO of the company, the three-day festival will include a lineup of musicians from today's adult-oriented contemporary music and jazz as well as traditional Hawaiian artists.

In the past, the festival has included such artists as Dave Koz, Keiko Matsui and Jeffrey Osborne as well as local stars like Joe Cano and Henry Allen and The Hawaiian All-Stars.

Details on this year's event have not yet been released.
